PLAGIARISM

Hi Friends !!!!!
I am trying to give justice to my mind's creative eyes since for all these years, it has borne in silence all the sick academic stuffings I have put in it. Let's hope this blog rejuvenates my slumbering creative side !!!! Here is my first post - a poem on a topic quite common these days. PLAGIARISM - Simply put, it means lending one's own name to somebody else's creativity and claiming all the praises.


" After hours of labour and sweat,
A wonderful masterpiece is what we get !
Passing the tests of patience and time,
Blossoms a creativity - awesome and sublime !


But unheard and unnoticed it goes,
A price tag it gets; but it's value nobody knows.
Lost in the heap of rubbish it stands,
Waiting to be dusted by some ragpicker's hands.


The ragpicker knows the price the masterpiece can get,
To open the treasure-chest, he simply can't wait !
 Claims the work as his own - fresh and cult,
Mocking its true owner and hurling at him an ugly insult...


Blinded by a mad craving for glamour and fame,
Honours, Titles, Name and a lot of other things to claim !
Limping he walks towards glory and stardom...
BUT only to find himself rested on the crutches of plagiarism !!!!"
